Visit To Anıtkabir / 35th Anniversary Wreath-Laying Ceremony

As the Gastronomic Society of Turkey, we began February 2026—the year we celebrate our 35th anniversary—with a visit to Anıtkabir, standing in the presence of our Founder.

During the official ceremony held with the participation of our Board of Directors and members, our Chairperson Esin Sungur laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, signed the Anıtkabir Memorial Book, and wrote the following:

“Dear Atatürk,

As the Gastronomic Society of Turkey, which regards researching, documenting, and sharing the culinary culture of our country as an essential duty for the continuity of our cultural heritage, we stand in your presence on the occasion of our 35th anniversary.

We continue our efforts—grounded in modernity—to preserve, elevate, and pass on our culinary culture, one of the strongest expressions of cultural heritage and social unity, with unwavering commitment to the values of our Republic, a true climate of civilization.

On the enlightened path you have opened, we will continue to work with all our strength to protect and carry forward the cultural richness of our country into the future.
