The Purpose

The purpose of the Gastronomic Society of Türkiye is to bring forth and enhance our culinary richness, dining etiquettes, and presentation practices through scientific research or by
commissioning research; to promote our cuisine domestically and internationally; to provide education in this field and assist educational institutions in doing so.

 

It aims to contribute scientifically to determining the place and importance of food and beverages in healthy nutrition; to monitor developments in dining-related matters domestically and internationally; and to encourage, disseminate, and promote such studies.

 

The Gastronomic Society of Türkiye records local cuisines, regional dishes, and intangible cultural heritage gastronomic values, documenting them under the name of Anatolian Flavor Inventory and establishing databases.
